WHAT HAPPENS ON A PREVIEW?
We can try out 2 hairstyles at the trial, these will be an indication of what your hair could look like on the day. It will be a more refined version on the day as we will have a better idea of what you want so it will be styled to perfection. As for makeup I tend to start on the more natural side and build up depending on what style you like. Sometimes one person's version of natural is another person's version of glam. Trial’s are the perfect opportunity to test out a few things and it will also give you an idea of what to expect on the day. So when we come to doing your makeup on your wedding day we know exactly what you like.
HOW LONG DOES A PREVIEW TAKE?
A hair or makeup trial will take about 2 hours and if you are having a hair and makeup trial at the same time it will take about 3-4 hours.
If more time is required a second trial might need to be arranged. If a second trial is required, the full trial rate will apply.
DO YOU HAVE ANY USEFUL INFORMATION FOR TRIAL & WEDDING DAY PREP?
Skin prep for the morning of your trial and on your wedding day would be to arrive with clean, hydrated, makeup free skin. Face masks or sheet masks should only be used the night before, never on the day.
I recommend using a gentle liquid facial exfoliant before your wedding for the perfect skin base, 2-3 times a week for a few weeks prior to the trial/wedding day. I can highly recommend Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant.
Hair prep for the morning of your trial and on your wedding day would be to arrive with completely bone dry, clean hair that's product free. Ideally washed the night before, a thorough double shampoo with just a touch of conditioner on the ends, rinsed very well with no other styling products. Blow dry smooth (not expecting a pro blowdry just the best you can do) No straightening. A hair mask can be used about 3-4 days prior to the wedding. If you are unsure of your parting placement please dry without a parting, if you are certain please dry in parting. I will add any products that are needed for styling. If you are a curly girl and would like me to create a style with your natural curls then please style as you would normally and I will enhance them.
Using Helen for our wedding day was a no brainer. Her make-up and hair styling is minimal and natural but still made me feel amazing!
